Holly “HAM” McDermott (she/her) is a Michigan based artist and poet. Specializing in metalsmithing, jewelry making, poetry, and printmaking. She examines the human condition in its relation to cycles and patterns within the natural world, the cosmos, and beyond. She received her BFA in metalsmithing and jewelry making with minors in creative writing and art history from Grand Valley State University. She has been a recipient of the Wege Scholarship to attend Ox-Bow School of Art and Artists. She was invited to show in the Michigan Emerging Graduate Artists (MEGA) exhibition at the Urban Institute for Contemporary Art in Grand Rapids, MI. She has been a featured artist in Revue Magazine, West Michigan. Her poetry has been featured on The Local Glow Podcast. She is the co-founder of the poetry and writing group Kismet.
