some haikus

blistering moonlight
tethered by the emotions
and urns of crushed light

deep haughty beetles
prickly pear sunk in wet dirt
scorpions in bloom

sanskrit at sunset
pigmented pigmalia
and my mind ablaze

grass snakes in my field
of vision stained with ochre
iron weighted blood

bright citrus sky
hummingbirds and angels in
a cemetery plot
