Pleasant Peninsula 2025 was Grand Rapids’ first-ever national mural festival - 21 ecology murals were installed in downtown Grand Rapids, each featuring a different species on the Michigan Threatened & Endangered Species List. Pleasant Peninsula strives to make ecological and artistic conservation accessible and exciting for the general public. This festival paired artists with science and ecology educators to engage the public on the importance of native and endangered species and highlight local environments.
